HOW IT WORKS
HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS
Participants spend four weeks embedded in organizations across Accra, Ghana, and Kigali, Rwanda, contributing to structured, deliverable-based assignments alongside local teams. Each placement is designed to strengthen professional competencies, expand global networks, and deepen cross-cultural understanding through direct participation in Africa's professional ecosystems.
Hilltop's vetted host organizations span fintech, agribusiness, healthcare, creative industries, social enterprise, and more. In Rwanda, students are paired with peers from African Leadership University for collaborative learning. Every program includes pre-departure orientation, on-site mentorship, guided reflection sessions, and post-program impact documentation.

Where You Stay
Accommodation & Local Support
Interns stay at Hilltop-vetted partner hotels, selected for safety, comfort, and proximity to placement sites. Rooms are twin-share by default; single-room upgrades are available on request.
A dedicated on-ground coordinator is present in each city to check in on intern well-being, liaise with the hotel, and facilitate orientations and safety briefings throughout the program.
