Who We Are

Mission & Values

Our Mission

To expand global perspectives through authentic African experiences.

Hilltop Global Group was founded on the belief that Africa belongs at the center of global education, not at its periphery. We partner with U.S. universities and professionals to co-create programs that place participants inside Africa's professional ecosystems, generating genuine exchange and measurable outcomes for students and host communities alike.

Every program we run is rooted in relationships: with host organizations, local communities, and the students who return home transformed. Our mission is to make those connections possible at scale, with the rigor and care they deserve.

"Africa is not the periphery of global education. It is the future. Hilltop was built to make that case."

Phil Agbeko, Co-Founder & CEO, Hilltop Global Group

Our Values

What We Stand On

The principles that guide every decision, every program, every partnership

01

ROOTED IN THE CONTINENT

Authenticity

We are of Africa, not visiting it. Our programs are led by teams whose roots, careers, and credibility were built on this continent, with decades of combined experience bridging African institutions and international universities. That is not a marketing line. It is our operating model.

Authenticity

ROOTED IN THE CONTINENT

02

Built on Agreements, Not Promises

Integrity

Our partnerships are formalized in writing, not through handshake deals. Every program is designed to meet recognized international standards for education abroad, giving our university partners clear visibility into risks, outcomes, and the agreements that govern them.

Built on Agreements, Not Promises

03

NEW MODELS FOR A NEW CONTINENT

Innovation

From deliverable-based internships to technical and vocational training, Hilltop designs locally grounded, comprehensive programs tailored to each context. Delivered across multiple destinations, each program is built in partnership with the institutions and communities where it runs. Curriculum co-designed with faculty, not handed to them.

04

PARTNERS, NOT BENEFICIARIES

Community

Our institutional and other partners are collaborators, not host sites. Community projects are co-designed, so host organizations leave with usable outcomes, and students leave with perspectives earned, not observed. We work with communities as equals. The best learning is reciprocal.
